We encourage our employees to report any behavior that they believe violates laws, ethical principles, or our internal policies. Others, such as customers, suppliers, business associates, or other individuals, may report this to their primary contact within Academic Work.
We encourage our employees to report any behavior that they believe is in violation of laws, ethical principles, or our internal policies. Others, such as customers, suppliers, business associates, or other individuals, may report this to their primary contact within Academic Work.
However, there may be situations where it is not possible or appropriate to report misconduct in accordance with the above procedures. It must also be possible for the person reporting to remain completely anonymous in order to lower the threshold for reporting the alleged misconduct.
Academic Work has therefore implemented a procedure for reporting unethical or illegal misconduct through a web-based form that ensures confidentiality, excludes conflicts of interest as far as possible, and guarantees full anonymity if desired. Reports are received and evaluated by a third party, who handles all further communication with the reported person and forwards the matter to an appropriate recipient within Academic Work for further investigation and action. The reporting service is completely separate from Academic Work and meets the highest security requirements to ensure your integrity.
If the reported person chooses to remain anonymous, their identity will be kept secret from both Academic Work and the receiving third party. If the reporting person prefers to report misconduct by telephone or in person, this is also possible. The reported person will not suffer any negative consequences as a result of submitting the report or at any time thereafter.
Report an offense
If you choose to reveal your identity when submitting a report, the personal information you provide about yourself will be processed by Academic Work and our service provider Whistlelink.
Your data will only be used for the purpose of investigating the matter you have reported and for any communication with you during this process. All personal data you provide about yourself in the report will only be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill this purpose.
The legal basis for processing your data is Academic Work's legitimate interest in investigating the matter you have reported and taking action against unethical or illegal misconduct, but may also be based on a legal obligation depending on the nature of the matter. If we disclose your information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities, this will be done with your consent. For more information about how we process your personal data and your rights, please read our privacy policy.
If you have any questions about how we work with whistleblowing, please feel free to contact us at legal@aw.com. Please note that messages sent to this email address will not be anonymous.
